THE BIG HOLIDAY UPDATE

As the Development Director for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Arkansas, I am in awe and immensely grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside our visionary, strategic CEO, Lance Johnson, and the entire BBBS of Northwest Arkansas staff.

Their tenacity, intelligence, and passion fuel my enthusiasm for the work of the organization and fortify my resolve to raise as much money as we can to support more Bigs and Littles in the region and continue to shape the future and legacy of mentoring for decades to come.

As one of our passionate supporters, I’d like to share with you some preliminary impact numbers from our 2022 efforts:

✓ Served over 295 children and 1,300 kids, families, and volunteers at NO COST in our mentoring programs.

✓ We have successfully re-opened all Site-based programs, partnering with 9 area schools to reach kids who need us most.

✓ We launched our Workplace Mentoring Program with 46 Rogers Heritage School students and the Walmart Home Office. Students and their mentors will explore post-high school opportunities and work together to prepare for college and career exploration.

✓ Created a lunch buddy program with the University of Arkansas to match college-age mentors with elementary students at 3 schools in the Fayetteville School District.

✓ Provided 15 free monthly activities to Bigs and Littles in the community. Our matches made pizzas at Brightwater, attended Razorback sporting events, had a skating party at the roller rink, and participated in an art gallery tour to name a few.

These new programs and record numbers were made possible by you and your generosity, and we thank you for trusting us with your investment. Today we are at $5,000 of our $10,000 end-of-year goal.
