Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Arkansas Expands to Serve Fort Smith Metro Youth

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Arkansas is proud to announce its expansion into the Fort Smith Metro area, a milestone that will allow even more youth across Arkansas to benefit from life-changing mentoring relationships.

This exciting step builds on the 30 years of impact the organization has established in Northwest Arkansas, aiming to double its reach to serve youth and families in Crawford and Sebastian counties. This growth adds capacity without shifting resources away from existing programs. Local donations will continue to directly support local programming, while the expansion creates opportunities for every supporter to be part of a larger story of impact.

As part of this exciting next chapter, Big Brothers Big Sisters will soon begin the search for a Regional Director to lead operations in the Fort Smith Metro area. This new leader will establish local partnerships, recruit and support volunteer mentors, and oversee the launch of mentoring programs in the community. This approach will ensure a strong foundation for sustainable growth while maintaining the high standards of safety and match quality that Big Brothers Big Sisters is known for.

Every match begins with a single person stepping up to volunteer, donate, or advocate. Together, we’ve already changed thousands of lives in Northwest Arkansas — and now, the Fort Smith Metro will see those same stories of growth and possibility.
