DREAM B.I.G

Dream B.I.G. (Believing in Girls) is a University of Arkansas student-led mentoring program out of the Volunteer Action Center. The program partners women from the University of Arkansas with Big Brothers Big Sisters Northwest Arkansas and J.O. Kelly Middle School in the Springdale School District.

WHAT WE DO

University of Arkansas women serve as mentors (Bigs) and are matched with 6th and 7th-grade girls (Littles) at J.O. Kelly Middle School. The program consists of once-a-month Brave Girl sessions with your Little that focus on identity development through community support, cultural awareness, and one-of-a-kind programming. Bigs will also have the opportunity to have lunch with their Littles throughout each month.

HOW TO GET INVOVLED

Applications for the 2021-2022 academic year is currently closed. All interested applicants must attend a Big Brothers Big Sisters one-hour-long Volunteer Orientation to learn more in-depth knowledge about the process and commitment of being a Big.
